Do you intend to use the PC for anything else? e.g. a bit of gaming on it too? If so, what games?

Will you be editing videos?

What does that PC cost / what is your budget?

Hi. I shall not be gaming on the pc. I only intend to stream via from ps4 xbox one N Nintendo switch. That little setup cost about £830

You don't need the GPU then. You should be able to dispense with that entirely.

Drop the DVD drive if you don't need that

I'd suggest a better case, at least one that has USB 3 at the front.

You could treat yourself to an SSD for faster loading times and a more responsive PC. The Samsung 850 Evo is good. And ironically comes with a free copy of Assassin's Creed Origins (lawl).

Hi. Thanks for the reply. I have a budget of around £850. would build would you go with if you was going to stream. Like I say further up. I only game on the 3 consoles. so I wont be gaming on pc and I wont be doing any edits etc. I don't want anything fancy. Something decent enough to run the Elgato HD60 Pro. Is it possible for you to put a quick build together as I am new and useless at building pcs. lol. thanks carlos.

I was basically saying your spec was fine, but you could make the changes above to save cash.

But looking at it again, you can get a system with a Z370 motherboard for only about £10 more. This gives you more features, access to faster SSDs, more slots for RAM, more CPU upgrade options, and is well worth it if you end up using the PC for something else in the future e.g. editing videos of your PS4 gameplay.

e.g.

The case and PSU should also support a decent range of upgrade options, and the case has 2 front facing USB 3.0 ports as well as 2 front facing USB 2.0 ports. The titan cooler is like £13 and is a lot quieter than the stock Intel fan, which I fan can have a somewhat unpleasant whirr to it.

Note that while the Elgato specifies an "i5" this is because up until a month or so ago, i3s were dual cores and i5s in desktops were quad cores. The i3 8100 is new and is a quad core. It's extremely similar to the i5 7500.

I'm not personally familiar with the Elgato, so can't say from experience, but it meets the requirements they publish and seems in line with other recommendations I've read online. You can always ask on the Twitch reddit, or whatever is appropriate for your streaming if you want a 2nd opinion :)

As the forums belong to PCS, users aren't encouraged to give advice on competitors' specs. You can always check with a forum like Tom's Hardware for advice on options at that price point from a range of stores.

And you can use the forums here to try to help you squeeze the best value out of PCS's configurators. :)
