Hi all,

Keep getting this message every time I turn on my PC. My BIOS is running in ACHI mode, but I don't know how to solve this error message. My PC runs fine in every aspect and doesn't cause any other problems.

dont think this is an error message,it's looking for something that's not there.

But I've got two Hard Drives in there and then the above message is replaced by the BIOS loading screen, and Windows starts... It just makes me wonder if something is wrong.

ive seen this before i think its when a HDD is suddenly removed and it just doesnt register the change properly and keeps checking for it

It is the marvell controller telling you it has nothing attached, which it probably doesnt. If your board is capable of IDE and it has no IDE device attached but the controller is on you will get this for example.

It usually says "no any drive"

Not a fault.

Thanks Gorman. Went into the advanced options of the BIOS and turned controller off. No more message and much quicker boot time!

All please note. Disabling controller was not a good thing to do... I can't work out why, but it was causing RAM instability and a BSOD. Checked with memtest and discovered error, so I turned it back on again and have no issues now.

But does that mean you are now back to getting the original "no hard disc is detected!" message on start up?
