Intended for 1440p gaming (eg. cyberpunk, witcher 3, R6, bannerlord, ARK, Hunt: Showdown) VR, and music production (running multiple kontakt libraries, vst plugins, etc)

Few questions about these specs:

1. Suitable for my purposes? More RAM?
2. Enough power?
3. Right case?
4. Can cut costs somewhere? (with longevity in mind)
5. Room for future upgrades?

Budget ~£1500


Am considering this monitor:

Recommended? Any other comparable monitors you'd recommend?

Just piggybacking onto this thread if that's ok (haven't had a response yet to my similar-ish post from a week ago)

What's your reasoning behind taking the Ryzen 9 5900x over say a Ryzen 5 5900x? (I'd also be recording (no more than 3 tracks at a time) and editing in Cubase + using mulitple Kontakt libraries)

Any disadvantages to having a larger 2nd drive, say 4TB? Thank you kindly

Hi there. Sorry we didn’t pick up on your thread earlier. Having had a look, it’s not far off. Definitely keep the 32GB of RAM, I’d say that’s more important than increasing the CPU. More cores can improve mixing performance but if you’re running multiple plugins and effects, you’ll definitely benefit more from an increase in fast memory.

If you can squeeze a little bit more into your budget, I’d highly recommend the changes below. Newer motherboard for longevity and PCIe 4.0 support, RMx PSU as it’s a touch quieter and higher quality, tweaking the storage slightly.
