Does this build look good ?

I have not bought a PC in a long time (2015) and am looking to finance one as I am still running on a GTX970 at the moment and want to become current again. I tend to upgrade infrequently but slingshot myself from way out of date to very current. This PC will be intended to last in a similar way for me so wanted to see if it was considered a decent build. I'm not willing to go any higher than the prices listed below as it will be approx. £65-75 per month as it stands just now and I am likely going to be paying this over the full 4 years as for a build of this cost I will not have the capacity to pay it off within the 12 month period on offer.

Price:
£1,900.00 - £2,000.00 inc. VAT and Delivery (or lower)

Usage:
Gaming Primarily. Though I may occasionally use it for working from home which can involve work with 2D AutoCAD and some minor use of 3D modelling software's.

Monitor:
Right now I only have 1080p monitors given the grade of PC I am running with however If I massively upgraded to the specs that i have provided below i would in time upgrade to 4K monitors or similar to utilise the enhanced capabilities. These would not be included in the build cost and would come later however.

VR:
I have an Oculus Rift S and make occasional use of it though the GTX970 I run is probably being pushed to its limits operating it so being able to use it optimally would be nice.

If you could have a read of the post linked below and come back with the requested info, that’d help us to help you. And please be a bit more specific on the budget, as in give us the total amount you’re willing to spend on the system.

Thanks for the heads up I have overhauled the post.

Here's where I'd go. It's aimed really at 1440p; if you pushed to the top of your budget, you could upgrade the graphics to the 4070 Ti, which would do a decent job of 4K. (Personally I'd prefer to match either of these with a 1440p display and get the higher refresh rates, rather than the more pixels of 4K.)

It's based on AMD Ryzen 7000, because that's where the better value is right now, especially because there's way more upgradability. I'm not speccing all the RGB stuff you have, but you could always add more fans/strips if you really want them...

Case
FRACTAL FOCUS 2 ARGB GAMING CASE (BLACK) Superior case (could be done in white if you want that specifically)
Processor (CPU)

AMD Ryzen 7 7700 Eight Core CPU (3.8GHz-5.3GHz/40MB CACHE/AM5) Really good value gaming CPU
Motherboard

ASUS® TUF GAMING B650-PLUS WIFI (DDR5, USB 3.2, 6Gb/s)
Memory (RAM)
32GB Corsair VENGEANCE DDR5 5600MHz (2 x 16GB)
Graphics Card
12GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4070 - HDMI, DP, LHR Good graphics card for this budget, especially with VR in mind
1st M.2 SSD Drive

512GB SOLIDIGM P44 PRO GEN 4 M.2 NVMe PCIe SSD (up to 7000MB/sR, 4700MB/sW) Boot drive

Thanks for the adjustments, without the additional fans and such will this still run cool in your estimation ? also I'm a bit of a novice but I assume 4070 with less GB than 4060ti is still better ? finally the CPU change to AMD, is this CPU still going to be a good choice vs the one i had selected in terms of future-proofing the machine for longevity ? again thank you for all the advice and the handy foot notes next to your applied changes.

Yes, it'll be fine. A good case (as the Focus 2 is) will have much more impact on cooling than loads of fans.

also I'm a bit of a novice but I assume 4070 with less GB than 4060ti is still better ?
Yes. The GPU (the computer chip that does the work) is better. 16GB is more than is needed for 1440p for a while yet; 12GB is sufficient.
VRAM size isn't the only measure of the quality of a graphics card.

Yes: the CPU will be better. The 7700 will outperform the 13900 while consuming (far) less power, producing less heat, and being on a platform that will have upgrades available over the next few years without replacing the motherboard and completely rebuilding the system. It's a far better choice.
