So i am tempted to buy a machine from the IE website,
does it include things like the motherboard box (packaging the part came in) or is it just a case with components

It will not include the separate packaging for each component, they are selling you a whole machine after all, they are not a parts reseller.

Some of the packaging they get may be OEM packaging anyway rather than retail packaging at any rate

You will get all the extra cables and bits and pieces from all the components you've chosen (that aren't used in the build), they'll be in the welcome box
