Does anyone know version of the RX 6700xt PC Specialist is using?

I ordered a 6700XT based system yesterday, I’d rather have built it all from scratch but supply issues being what they are this is the only way to get one.

The option just says 6700XT it doesn’t say any brand so I’m guessing it’s the ATI reference design? That one is badly made from the teardown I’ve just seen, no rear thermal pads and no contact on VRAM spreaders to the main heatsink. Plus poor contact between the GPU die and the copper plate.

In the end I’ll take what I can get though.

Right now, it will be whatever they can get hold of, if you contact them they should be able to tell you current ones coming in.
(should explain, forum is run by volunteers, odd member of staff checks in occationally, but its not really a means to contact PCS, but a customer community)

Thank you, I’m not expecting an official response really, and it’s a long wait to call them up at the moment, and as I say I I’ll take what I can get but I do appreciate the info.

Fingers crossed for an ASUS strix card though :p

It won’t be a strix if you order a generic card. The strix has its own selection in the configurator, it’s a lot more expensive than a normal card.
