Disabling the Touchpad click, Cosmos

Hi there,

I see that some people have been directed to the downloads section on PC Specialist to download the drivers - surely these drivers were installed with the machine when it was built last week, or are these optional extra drivers?

Any help would be appreciated.

They should all be installed, but they're there should you ever need to reinstall windows.

Thanks - I thought they would be installed - there is no option within "mouse" in control panel to address this issue unfortunately.

What issue? If it's the click when you tap the touchpad, there should be a mouse driver running, probably synaptics, you'll need to run that to disable it.

Go to Control Panel, Hardware, Mouse. There should be a tab called ELAN. There click options.

There is no ELAN tab - only Buttons, Pointers, Pointer Options and Hardware?

Strange. Go to the downloads section on the PCS webstie and (re)install the touchpad drivers then.
