Did latest windows 10 update. Compared to day before, laptop stupidly slow

I’ve done the latest Windows 10 update yesterday (which apparently just finished when I turned on today).

Compared to when I was using the laptop yesterday my laptop has slowed down LOADS.

I’ve got an intel 10th gen core17 with two nvme samsung drives (500gb and 1TB) with 16gb ram.

Why am I experiencing such a slow down?

When running task manager, my CPU usage is hovering between 1% and 3% with only Steam open.

Is the laptop at fault, or is this a windows update thing?

It was lightning fast previously (I’ve only had it two months), now it’s like I’m using my 2012 Mac Book Pro

I would roll back the update & see if this restores the PC’s speed.
Did you allow the update to complete then restart or did you shutdown the PC & it finished updating after this?
I would’ve restarted the PC then allowed to to finish the installation before shutting down.

I chose the update and shut down option.

I guess that’s why it’s just done the rest of the ‘setting up’ now when I turned it back on.
