Desktop upgrade advice

Hi,

I bought the desktop below a few years back and the SSD is failing, so it's time to upgrade and I was hoping for some feedback as I'm afraid i don't know too much about this stuff.

I use the PC for working from home and gaming (WoW, Fallout4, NMS, etc) - the existing spec was more than enough for what I use it for - just want to future proof the upgrades.

For the 1st drive, I'm looking at:
1TB SOLIDIGM P41+ GEN 4 M.2

The primary drive was just used for OS, games and backup of work stuff from the other drive so 500gb was always plenty. The above replacement would be a reasonable storage and speed upgrade.

For the graphics card:
8GB NVIDIA GEFORCE RTX 4060

A sizable upgrade from the 1650. I looked at the 3050 range, but the benchmark comparisons for the 4060 seemed considerably greater, so thinking in terms of future use, it would be better to go with the 4060 now?

Do I need to be thinking about more RAM? 16gb seems plenty?

Any input would be greatly appreciated, thank you!

Worth noting that if you upgrade your GPU, you're also going to have to upgrade your Power Supply because these newer cards use more power.

16GB is fine, although we usually recommend 32GB these days. Upgrading to a faster RAM would be beneficial and 3200MHz is very slow these days, but your options are going to be more limited due to being on AM4/DDR4 as we're now on AM5/DDR5.
