Hi I have a PC Specialist Tornado R5 bought in 2018 the specs are:

AMD Ryzen 5 (not sure which model as unable to load pc and check)

Nvidia GTX 1060

1TB hard drive

With 8GB of Corsair ram (not sure which model)

Recently I had an issue of it beeping, one long beep followed by 3 short beeps. I read online that I should reseat the ram which I did. This stopped the beeping however it still doesn't display anything on my monitor when I turn it on. I've tried using different HDMI cables in different ports to no avail. What should I do? I've had this PC since November 2018 and it was purchased from Currys.

I take it it used to work, we need to know if there was any precedence to it not working? Anything you changed in the BIOS or software, windows update? When was it last working?

Which port have you got it plugged into on the GPU?

Prior to this it was working fine with no issues and nothing had been changed or tampered with other than that I moved house and hasn't been working since I moved to the new house two days ago, it didn't take any damage during the move.

I'm not sure which port it is plugged into on the GPU but I'm sure it's one of the HDMI ports as that's what I was using for the last couple of years.

I've also noticed that my keyboard and mouse don't light up either like they used to when the computer turns on. Maybe this is a power issue?

I apologize upfront I'm not the most technically minded of people hence why I bought a pre built desktop rather than building my own.

I would think the house move is the most likely 'cause' of this issue. Off the top of my head I can think of two possible issues...

1. Something came loose in the move. This is not at all uncommon and since you have no display the graphics card would be the first thing to check. Pop it out and back in again ensuring it's fully seated. The beep codes you were getting point to a graphics card issue too.

2. You have the monitor plugged into the motherboard rather than the graphics card. Could you take a photogrtaph of the whole of the rear of the PC so we can see all the available ports and where you're plugging in? Post it on here, or on an image hosting site with a link to it here if you prefer.

Hi,

I've reseated the graphics card fully, and have also pushed in any cables into their sockets I could find to make sure they weren't loose or anything like that.

The monitor still doesn't display any input, my mouse and keyboard still don't light up which makes me think its a power or motherboard issue.

The inside of my pc was put together very nicely and all the cables are put together nicely, Ive read online I could take out the PSU and then press a CMOS? (I think that's what it's called) button to reset my bios or something like that however I'm unable to figure out how to take out my PSU or what this CMOS button looks like.

In the attached picture I have used both the HDMI port (labelled number 3) and the port to its right (4) and the furthest left (1).

I also don't hear a beep when my computer powers on anymore, this beep was separate to the beep codes I was getting and would only sound when I turned the pc on, I assume this is like a sound in the bios to let you know it's turned on.

I hope what I have written makes some sense,
Many thanks.

One beep followed by three short beeps is probably a graphics card error code. I'd try again fully removing the graphics card and replacing it, and checking all the graphics card power cables. To check -- have you tried plugging in with DisplayPort instead of HDMI?

Those sockets look like display port sockets to me not HDMI.....
