Delivery weirdness

I've just had a message saying my laptop has been sent to a dry cleaners! One of the dodgiest looking shops in my area.

Is this a Covid thing? Delivery to the nearest click and collect rather than house delivery?

Email enquiries ignored.

They should only ever deliver to the delivery address for PCS packages

PCS email enquiries are taking longer than normal at the moment due to increased email enquiries (mostly due to stock shortages worldwide afaik) - upto a week I think, your best bet is to ring PCS though there may be quite a queue, but it will be a lot lot faster than email

Is it DPD or Fedex? Have they tried delivering to you first? Sometimes they will drop your parcel off at parcel shop if they can't deliver to you. Would say in your tracking

Looking on the DPD app, if at the third delivery attempt they can't deliver, thyey will deliver it to the nearest authorised DPD drop off point

At work we deliver a lot of stock everyday and DPD (and the like) have been dropping off items at weird places right now just to get shift of it.

Not trying to frighten you, but anything can happen I suppose. But as someone above said, they shouldn't really deliver something of that price to just anyone.

No I think orders over £1000 cant be left with anyone else have to be signed for by a member of the delivery address
At the moment you shouldn't be signing for anything due to covid. Parcels I have received they insisted that they put it at the door and take a photo of it. (I got a work laptop delivered just a couple of days ago and thats what they did... the smaller odds n sods they just don't though.

thats pritty awful that they would do that. rather it be returned to depot then just drop it off at a random address ive never really rated dpd they collect stuff from my place of work (electronics) and countless drivers have been bollocked over the handling of items big red tape that clearly says fragile seems to go over there heads
