Delivery info

I paid & upgraded to Saturday Delivery yesterday (so due today) as I may not be around Monday/Tuesday.

When your item is dispatched, do you get another update or tracking info etc...?

My laptop is still sitting @ ‘awaiting didpatch’ even though I have a £20 ‘upgrade’ noted above that order for Saturday Delivery.

The guy on the chat (yesterday) said it will be here before 2pm but I’m dubious based on having no update since paying.

Upgrading delivery won’t help if it hasn’t been despatched. Despatch is when it’s collected by the courier. Yours is still at PCS if it’s “awaiting despatch”, so DPD haven’t collected it yet.

When it’s despatched, you’ll get an email and text message from DPD and then on the day of delivery they’ll send you a 1 hour delivery window.

I specifically asked when it would be dispatched and the advisor told me it would be dispatched last night. I then asked if DPD do Saturday delivery and he said they did but at an extra charge so I paid it...have the transcript.

I’ll be asking for a refund of that fee then! What a total joke!

They shouldn’t have said it would be despatched last night, that’s not up to them that’s up to DPD.

i want that money back as what the advisor said was a straight up lie!

It wasnt a lie, he told you what he genuinely thought would happen... turned out DPD didnt take it (And BTW PCS will refund the sat delivery fee if it goes out during normal weekday delivery times, you just have to ask)

In general, if its ready to go (so "awaiting dispatch") by 3pm then it normally does go....

Should also note, that if you DONT contact them, it wont be delivered until next sat, as its a specific delivery day youve opted for when placing that request. So you need to contact them anyway.

I went to 'Awaiting Dispatch' on Thursday evening.

I asked the advisor specifically if it was too late to pay extra for Saturday Delivery - he said he wasn't sure so would need to double check.

He came back and said it would be fine so as far as I'm concerned he didn't check.

So by all accounts, it should have been collected by DPD yesterday after 3pm, but for whatever reason, they didn't collect it. That's not his fault. He advised you the best he could. And he was correct, it wasn't too late to order saturday delivery, but there's no point doing that until it's despatched.
