I really don't want to go down that route unless all else is an absolute fail 😔
It would take me a long time to get all my work software and personal data back into its place.

Most important is that I get some sort CPU power profile and fan speed manager.

Hello again. Still no joy :/ I have tried to install the latest version of CCC from the download page you told me. But either the modules don't load at all or they present with this pop-up asking to be associated to an app. I tried uninstalling , reinstalling the previous versions but always the same

The latest is just an update patch, you need to apply that to the full program.

OK. I have uninstall all of CCC. Downloaded the "Release" labelled as " Release Control Center 3.0 Driver Version 1.17 //07_CC30.zip"
Installed, the batch CMD window opened, completed & restarted PC. This release version did not work. Same as before. The main screen opens, but when I click on the modules it either tries to load the app without success , or asks me to associate it to an app (Like in my post above with the screenshot)

I then downloaded the latest Update called "Update Control Center 3.0 Version 2.03 // C_Center_0515.zip" , installed, completed & ran the batch CMD window. Confirmed the update , restarted but still same issue as above :(

Trouble is you’ve done so much adding and removing of the control centre and therefore potentially drivers/files associated with it for controlling fans etc that I personally think you are going to have to seriously consider a clean install of Windows, allow it to update etc and then go from there.

OK 😔
Would it be worth me trying to reinstall the individual driver packs again to see if it kick-start the CCC back into life?

yeah clean install using the following method:

Download a new copy of Windows using the Media Creation Tool to an 8GB (min) USB.
Boot that USB and choose a Custom Install.
Delete all UEFI partitions on the system drive (EFI System, Recovery, MSR Reserved, Primary).
Select the unallocated space that results and click the Next button. The installer will create the correct partitions and install Windows.
Run Windows Update repeatedly, even across reboots, until no more updates are found.
You may need/want to download and install the latest graphics driver from the Nvidia/AMD website (they change so regularly the latest version isn't always in the Windows libraries).

OK. I have the installer USB supplied when I bought laptop from PC Specialist. Am I correct in assuming that there should be a "factory restore" option that I could do rather than a bare-bones, completely zero install?

There is definitely a backup /recovery partition already on my boot drive

You wouldn't use the one PCS supply as it will be outdated, always use the latest image from Microsoft.

follow those instructions, it's the only way to get a clean install, back up any data prior to doing this as it will completely wipe your disc
