Custom built pc for gaming

@ReucHR . Any specific reason why you are buying that monitor? The IIYAMA G-MASTER GB2760QSU-B1 was a capable competitive gaming monitor when released in 2017 (at $400 or so) but I believe it's a TN panel. You might be better off with a 27 inch fast IPS panel or VA panel. They might cost a bit more (£250-300) but the overall experience might be better, especially if games like Minecraft are your core usage.
its budget related purely, unless the OPs budget has changed it wasnt possible to go for a higher end screen

Any links to these deals? I've not seen a 1440p IPS 144hz panel for £250 that I can think of.

The dell is second hand refurbished, and the Samsung isn't IPS, but that HP panel is crazy good value!

@SpyderTracks. The Samsung isn't IPS but you guys love VA (I don't but it's a personal thing) and at £281 seems decent value. For £12 more I'd take it over a TN panel.

The Dell isn't actually a refurb or second hand. It's a cancelled order, so technically it has to be classed as second hand but ITC will always note on the description if it's a factory refurb or if it's graded in any way. I've bought from them many times and if you have even the slightest concern you can send it back. I acknowledge, however, it's not technically "new".

In addition we have
LG 27GN800-B at £279 (https://www.overclockers.co.uk/lg-2...obChMIlfzm98_P8gIVEuvtCh2TewfVEAQYAyABEgK3uPD
I'd prefer the 850-B at £299 (same LG panel as the Dell) but budget constraints etc

LG 32GB600-B at £250
Whether you think 32 is too big for 1440p is again debatable but £250 for an VA 1440p 32in 165Hz monitor is good value.

I'm just pointing out that there are options out there.

You can't guarantee that though, they're just saying a lot of the monitors they sell could be that, a lot will also be faulty products that have been repaired. As someone who worked in IT for a large multinational, I know all too well what refurbished means, and the risks taken with it.

I wouldn't hesitate with that HP model though, it's a full Fast IPS panel, it's worth £400 top price. It's certainly worth a lot more than £269 it's being offered at.

The HP is definitely worth it. The others would be debateable for me.

3600 will make a difference when gaming though, when configured correctly. Enough to justify the price difference? For me.... yes, as time goes on it'll become more relevant. It's splitting hairs a little though given it's already over budget. I definitely couldn't justify lesser RAM to save £10 for a monitor purchase though.

Same goes with the Wifi. I would happily pay around a tenner not to use up a PCi-e card. Less breathing space no real benefit with a slot taken up. Another tenner that isn't really saving anything.

The difference in value with the HP vs the Ilyama is considerable for an IPS panel but I don't know much about monitors (never have). I know the Ilyama is a solid choice though as there have been many positive reviews and happy customers. Sure it's TN but I would worry about scraping to get the IPS option, which as suggested would normally be £400+.
