Couple of questions before I purchase

Hello all,

Hopefully you can help. I just have a few questions before I pull the trigger and order.

Firstly, how are the speakers? I like a pretty loud laptop from time to time, often blast music as I'm working.

Secondly, if I order the laptop with no primary drive but an m2 drive, I assume I can just put my old data HDD in? I've seen that it doesn't invalidate my warranty but just wondered if I selected no primary drive if they also remove the wiring to the primary drive?

Thirdly, anyone run any of these laptops with Linux mint? Any issues? I'm looking at lafiti iii with i5 and 8gb ram. I don't think they'll be driver issues there but I don't know what else might struggle to find drivers?

I don't know specifically for this model, but laptop speakers in general are awful. If loud and quality sound is important to you I would advise external speakers.

Yes no problem, it won't void your warranty. PCS have an open case policy - as long as you don't break anything. Just be aware that you won't be able to use any Windows system that's on that HDD because it's from a different system - all the drivers will be wrong for one thing, and Windows configures itself for the platform it's installed on for another. It might boot but it won't work well.

Yes, laptop speakers are generally crap, but you have varying levels of crap. Lol. I'm not expected it to sound like I'm in Wembley arena but I also don't want it to sound like my laptop is under a pillow. My current laptop speakers are pretty poor but the ones previous were really good. I do already have external speakers for when I'm at home but I can't take them with me.

I found that Linux forum just after I posted about it, despite not finding it earlier. My bad, thanks for that.

I don't want to use Windows on my laptop at all, and I don't even have windows installed (except in a virtual machine) I would just use my current HDD as my storage hdd. Lol but, again, thanks for the advice.
