Hello,

In advance of the specs i already have Windows 10 from previous machine. As well as Monitor / speakers / Keyboard / Mouse / 1TB HDD.

Will be connecting from wifi for the first month or so.

Appreciate any advise on the cooling situation or preferable additions, thank you for looking.

I think there might be a case for Intel here. The platform here is astonishingly cheap: around £500 less than the equivalent AMD build once the memory, storage, power and cooling are improved. (I'm not sure how this can be true, but it seems to be.) If you're going "budget" and are willing to take the (undoubted) downsides of 11th-gen Intel, I can see the argument here...

Yeah the 10400f is a solid CPU for very budget builds

I still wouldn't recommend it though, seems you're compromising the entire build for the sake of a premium GPU which I would always discourage as it's the part that gets changed the most

Thank you all for the input. Taken to further reading on the Intel vs AMD as well as having a suitable environment for such a higher end GPU. Sorry didn't get back sooner with the questions. I've decided to add in the MSI 27" Optix G271 monitor, but also have an additonal asus 24' (GN246hl)

Steveyg - Would you say the 5600X is really required compared to the 5600G? I don't think i'd be pushing the computer to that amount of requirements (L3 cache being the big seller there).

There not much of a cost difference between the 5600G and 5600x but the 5600G is still decent enough

I wouldn't buy that monitor or case though. The NZXT's look great but they are garbage for air flow also the monitor is only 1080p at 27" which wouldn't be a good experience and wouldn't get the full use of the 3060Ti which is a 1440p GPU

you're talking about £250-£300 for a monitor to suit the 3060Ti which is why I initially recommended the 1660
