corsair noise from fan at specific speed

Hello

I bought PC here couple months ago and everything was fine with it but after a while i observed issue some wierd noises from PC that comes and go. Initially couldnt identify where the noise is coming from but after a while realised it was coming from one of the liquid cooler fans. Noise stopped when i tapped middle fan so quite confidant that is an issue. i have CORSAIR iCUE H150i ELITE LCD XT RGB CPU Cooler. though maybe there was some dirt so i cleaned it but issue was still there and noise comes and goes. I played with ICUE and observed that noise is there only at specific RPM (1310-1330).

I created custom fan curve so that is resolved isue of noise but my question is if that is common problem? is not masking bigger issue with H150i ELITE? should i reach out to get this item replaced?

Would appreciate any advise.

It could be that there's a small defect in with the specific fan that's making the noise that gets amplified at that specific RPM.

If its causing you irritation you could always let PCS know, I'm not sure if they'll offer to replace the fan or not for a noise in fairness but could be worth a phone call.

You could try removing the fan and re-attaching it to see if the issue persists (or maybe even just loosening then retightening the screws) as that could fix a minor vibration.

copy thanks for replies. I checked fan for any dust and cables and it s all good. As with custom curve on rpm there is no noise and as long as it is not indicator of bigger issue i am fine with it.

thanks for help
