Yes. You’re not using WiFi. So you’re not connected to a WiFi band.I'm under the impression that the wifi extender can either boost the 5ghz or 2.4ghz signal and the ethernet cable then takes that signal from the extender to the computer. Am I completely wrong in that assumption?
You’re connected via Ethernet to a WiFi booster that is boosting a network signal.
Weather or not you’re connected to 2.4ghz or 5ghz, it’s still the same network. It’s just a way of managing access rights and traffic. But that’s only relevant in WiFi.
