Choosing the right 1440p monitor

Hi folks, I had posted this in the check my specs section along with the new build I'm looking at. But perhaps got lost in the wash a bit (more on topic here anyway)

After looking at various options you can spend anything from £200 to over £500+ for a 1440p, 144hz, 27" monitor at the moment. Here are some of the options I've looked at. My main question, aside from your recommendation, would be if the price diffences translate to quality/value for performance, or if I can save some money without noticing much difference?

I've seen a lot of recommendations for this one. Aside from the extra wide, is the extra £200-300 worth it?

Would be paired initially with a 3060 ti with a view to upgrade in a few years when gpu prices are hopefully less crazy.

I would not go for the Viewsonic one. It's a budget brand and I can't find any good quality reviews online for it and I certainly wouldn't buy it without them!

The AOC is madly cheap. I have the older version of the same display, I think, the G27G2U. I believe they are very similar and, if you're not too worried about performance, it's an exceptional price for it.

That said, you can get better colour performance and better motion performance by going for a quality IPS display. The Gigabyte you mention is one, and is an exceptional display if you can cope with its size on your desk. Other options with a standard aspect ratio would be the HP 27GN800-B or the Dell S2721DGFA, both around £335.

Ultimately there's no right or wrong decision here. The price of the AOC one is very appealing. The performance of the HP, Dell and Gigabyte are appealing.

Thanks for the insight and the recommendations. The HP and Dell look good as more quality options without being way more expensive so think this might be the way to go for me.
