Checking on cooling and ease of RGB config

If there is a space issue, how would PCS handle it? How does PCs handle similar snags?

Due to me having RGB memory, I had a similar thing that the cooler couldn't go on the roof in my CORSAIR iCUE 465X, so PCS put it in the front behind the 3 front case fans, so the rad was sandwiched between the front case fans, and the cooler fans, so purely for looks, I removed the cooler fans from the rad and put them up in the roof, and left the rad behind the front case fans as can be seen here:

Cooling is fine, AOI are designed to cope with either push or pull configuration

No, would need to have a G on the end of CPU name to support graphics. If your focus is going to be gaming, I'd go for the 5800X3D, it's the strongest AMD CPU for gaming right now. 5900X would be a better option if you were doing a combination of Gaming and creative work.

4k ultrawide doest exist yet.

It's 1440 ultrawide or superwide.

So that's 3440x1440 or 5120x1440

The G9 is usually around the £1000 mark

This is 21:9 ratio at 5120 x2160 pixels.
There are lots of other hits for 5K2K out there. Not sure of the refresh rate though. Think it might only be 60Hz.

5k2k is exactly as it says. 5k across the horizontal, 2k vertical. That's superwide 5120x1440

Looking at his link, it does look like 4K Ultrawide is a thing. Monitor linked is a 27inch 4K Monitor stretched to a 16:9 resolution. It is only 60hz though, so not intended for gaming.
The new Samsung G7 Neo might be an option for you, with a 32 inch 4K QLED panel, but I would hold judgment until we get some third party reviews and see where it lands price wise.

There’s the G7 Neo and G4 Neo as well. G7 is 4k165hz and G4 is 1080p240hz.

But 100% agree, there are lots of resolutions on the market but a far smaller selection suited for gaming 🙂

I had no idea they were doing a G7 Neo, that's really cool and a very sensible area of the segment to fill. The G8 was too far a leap in specs terms.

The other one to watch out for is the Samsung Odyssey Ark which is a 55" 4k Mini OLED panel and apparently will push the GEOs for the top spot

GPU prices have lowered a bit I think. This is what I’m going with in September, except the mobo is just a fill in since the board I want will be restocked mid-Sept.

Main wonder here- is a 3090 worth it at all, or should I be perfectly fine on a 3080ti. Display will be aw3423dw. It’d be cool to see 4K down the road.
