Hi All, can someone please take a look at my specs and let me know if they look reasonable. I will be using the PC for work, photo, and video editing (family stuff, not professional). My budget was £1,000 but I have gone over slightly, which is fine.

If you are not gaming on it the 3060 gpu would be wasted in my opinion (integrated graphics would let you get a better computer within your budget).
If your never going to game on it the first spec below would be my suggestion.
If you think you might use it for gaming in the future then I would go for the second spec below which is still in budget now and add a GPU if you found you wanted to start gaming (a 6500 XT for a 1080p monitor or a 6600 XT for 1440p monitor).

Hi @AH79. I think we're looking at the £1200 range? If so, that's tight but do-able.

I'd disagree with almost all of this. The 3060 is very useful for video editing; the 5600G is capable but not anywhere near a match for video encoding. Modern software leans heavily on GPU power for video work. Moreover, even for gaming, the 6600 XT is very much aimed at the 1080p market, not 1440p.

I don't disagree that the 3060 would be good for video editing (I shouldnt have said wasted, I meant it was wasting too much of the budget) but you show me how to get it into a computer for ~£1000 without making so many compromises you would be better without the gpu.

My brother uses the 6600 XT for 1440p and its rare it goes below 100fps however something like a 3060 ti would be better if money allowed.
