Check my spec? - PCS FrostFlow 150 Series High Performance CPU Cooler

Hey ladies and gents,

Got this rig on order from PCS but im having trouble deciding on a cpu cooler. Iv currently got the PCS FrostFlow 150 Series on order but unsure whether to go up a gear and to what. Given that PCS dont post the specs of their Frostflow HW for comparison its hard to say how better/worse they are than branded competitors. Does anyone have experience with them??

I'm mainly using the system for streaming and playing mostly fps gaming, nothing crazy, at 1080p/1440p. Not particularly interested in OC'ing the cpu as my needs dont require it.

I’d avoid the cooler also. Ryzen 5 the Amd stock cooler is adequate, Ryzen 7 i’d go coolermaster 240 and Ryzen 9 i’d go H115i.

I’d also avoid the Intel M.2 drives. Both the 660p and 665p have poor endurance when compared with the competition and they aren’t all that fast, either.

so i read through the linked, however, being an old intel fanboy (i'll hold my hands up) i went with intel for familiarity. That said, im rather out of the loop on equivalent AMD systems... can you help me out with an 10700k-like cpu?

What is your budget?
What monitor do you have? With a 3060ti I am assuming a 1440p 144hz display.

Budget £1400ish - iv already got a case that has been sent to PCS - lian-li lancool ii mesh
Atm only a 1080p 75hz, but yes, i'll be going up to a 1440p 144hz.

I realise this is a touch over budget, but I wouldn't recommend downgrading further.
With sending a case in and switching, it's best to do so over the phone, ideally so your case can be transferred to your new build rather than it having to be sent to you and you needing to send back to PCS.
