Charger pin

Hi, I'm in need of a new charger as the pin isn't connecting properly. The charger is a chicony A13-040N3A 40w but all the ones for sale online don't have the same pin as mine, they show a pin with a small slot rather than a hole, is there a difference?

If you log onto your main PCS account and go to the upgrades section, you should be able to order spare chargers in there.

The only trouble with that is the price! It's double what I can potentially buy online. Since it's out of warranty now, I don't want to pay double.

It won't be double price, I think you're just looking at the incorrect model or a fake. We can only comment on official ones, fakes are never worth it, they invariably damage the laptop.

so you'd rather risk frying the laptop by using a knock of charger (way more expensive in long run) than spending a couple of extra quid on the genuine thing
