I personaly feel that AMD chips lack compared to Sandy bridge, My personal opinion don't take that for a quote, I just have less problems and easier time not to mention turbo boost that's a free overclock that you cant get no support from if anything goes wrong.
As for graphics, I despise my ATI card, The shader on it is hated by most games (software) and causes problems with light effects, this can be found over a range of cards and drivers, So in short, Stick to intel and nvidia.

Im all about loving this website but that seems dam pricey for what your getting, I made a simalar machine for a half of that price. Its late and im tired after very little sleep but i could be wrong.

i've done alot of research before desiding the to use this site. and from what ive seen is very good value specially as you get 3 years warranty and it gets tested after being built. ive built tons of computers in the past but its been quite a few years since then and i don't want to risk it.
i'm still trying to decide between the amd and intel spec. i don't think theres anything i would change about them. apart from adding a second gtx 580!!! or a 590.
i hate having to wait to be able to order at least bf3 or skyrim arn't out until october so i will have it by then.
one thing i was wondering...... what software would you recommend getting, for benchmarking, watching the pc temp, keeping winows clean etcc? oh and also virus?......... for the past 4/5 years i've only used my macbook, so completly out of touch from windows. last system i used was xp! before that i only used pcs as i studied computer science at college and uni but i then decided to travel around mexico for 4 years. now i'm back i've decided to get back into it and going to be studying a degree in computing,it and mathematics at the open university so hence this purchase!!!!

i need to stop checking the specs i've now worked out that ican change the case from sniper to haf 922 and get the overclocked i7 for £41 more than the i5 spec. my wife is going to kill me haha

I've been messing around with my spec and I'm a week away from buying. bring on 3rd sept!!!
What do you think of this spec? Its either going to be the overclocked 1100t with 1 gtx 580 or the normal 1100t with the 2 6970. To save some money between specs I changed the sniper to the storm for the 2 x 6970s.

I just had a couple of questions before I go ahead and do it.
this is my spec: and I was wondering If the wife makes me shave of some of the cost do you think the The Coolermaster HAF 922 Case or the COOLERMASTER CM STORM ENFORCER are good cases? I'm currently going for the sniper but its the only area I can save some cash on.
Also I'm currently down to get the wireless card.... Is using a ethernet cable better than using wireless? If so I might ditch the wireless card. I currently use wireless for my phones, laptop and ps3 and only have a couple of problems with signal strength but its not that often.
If I go for using an ethernet cable, does anyone know of a good place to pick one up on the cheap? Do you know if PCS can supply one? I'll probably need a 5m-10m cable.
I'm currently £21 over my budget with the sniper and without the wireless card. I also have a £15 off code so that takes me closer to my budget of £1400.
Over the past couple of months my budget has gone from £1800 to £1200 and now I've cooked enough meals and washed the dishes enough to make my wife happy to get it up to £1400.
