Can this be upgraded?

Hi! I still have my PCS PC I bought 9 years ago, and was wondering if it was worth upgrading a few of the components to make it run better. It's only used in our office for emails, Excel, browsing etc but it's very very slow to boot and slow to load programs.
This is the spec as originally purchased. If possible to upgrade for not too much cost that'd be great. If not, then no problem I'll see if I can donate it to someone who can make better use of it. The other thing I'm wondering about is, would it be possible to upgrade enough for my son to play games like Minecraft on it.

If you go into your account section on the website, you should hopefully see an upgrade button and it gives you a configuration style page then so you can see what is likely to be able to upgraded on drop down boxes and what’s available. When you select then it gives you prices.

You might be better off looking at what’s there and thinking is it worth it or not

Thank you! I had a look at the upgrade option and it didn't seem to be able to add anything apart from a DVD writer and USB ports ... I guess that means it's not worth it? The graphics card etc options are all showing as N/A

To be honest its 9 years old, so PCS wont stock any of the RAM you can use anymore, a CPU upgrade would also need a new motherboard, and PCS don't do motherboard upgrades (mainly because it essence it would involve taking the whole thing apart and rebuilding from scratch)

You could however get an SSD to use said new SSD as the main Windows drive and that may make it seem significantly faster.

Couple things jump out.

Ram update to 16GB (check motherboard to see what it takes and / or crucial memory tool).

SSD rather than HDD for OS and new HDD for usual work files etc.

also Windows 7... it’s EOL and would not be using it, as part of upgrade that gets updated.

alternatively if budget allows simply buy a new system for office.

reuse for mine craft limited as would still really need upgrade and clean up vs costs of new.
