I know it's an OEM, that was my point, if i had wanted an OEM i would have bought it there and not here at nearly twice the price.

But they do list it as an OEM on the site. I'm not having a go at you here but PCS don't list it as a retail version and do offer the information that it's an OEM. I don't see what they've done wrong there.

I should clarify that while it's against the EULA, from experience I can tell you that

I know that now, but it wasn't made very clear at the time of purchase, which is the important step. On most websites i've been on the ? things are usaually mouse-overs, i had mouse-overs blocked on my machine because i was paranoid and didn't think to click them. They should at least make it clear in the description.

To be honest, unless it stated retail in the description/title I'd always assume it was OEM in the first instance because PCS are system builders (but maybe that's just me). However I guess it could have been explained more clearly, incidentally I don't think it does say they are OEM operating systems on the "?"'s.

The only one that I would have touched on the Amazon list was £85 delivered. Then it's gotta be worth a tenner to install it to a good working condition. That's an OEM by the way and if you buy a PC ready assembled you can hardly claim to be the "original equipment manufacturer". That's what OEM stands for!!!
Or am I splitting hairs?

The £35 one is from a reputable MS certified reseller, i've had three keys off of him in the past with no issues in the past (you do have to phone to activate them though).

As i've been trying to say, it's not the OEM part of it that's the issue, it's the fact that it lists as "Genuine Windows 7 Home Premium 64 Bit w/SP1 - inc DVD & Licence (£79)", when i see the word Genuine i expect a genuine microsoft disk, not a burned copy with PCS labels. If i had wanted a burned copy i would have payed a lot less elsewhere, i payed for it here because i thought i was gettig original disks not PCS's own disks. This and all the other issues, as well as the fact that it's now been a week since my first email to them and three days since my second email, neither of which has had a responce yet has left me a little unhappy.

You got a huge PCS logo attached to the side of your case? you also got a windows 7 DVD/CD with the PCS logo? Mine came on a windows 7 case with the windows 7/microsoft logo on it. In the "show your spec" section I have never seen a PCS logo on any case before, have you taken any pictures of your cases? Not that I don't believe you but it could help others prevent the same issues and I am also curious how big the logo is :)

There is a PCS logo on a couple of the cheaper cases, said logo can be seen when you click on the case in the configurator - I know it's on 'The Stylish Piano Black Enigma Micro-ATX Case', 'The Stylish Piano Black Enigma Case' and 'The Stylish Trident Case'.

Yes i got a disk with a PCS label and yes i got a huge logo on the side of my case, its the InWin GT1 case and the image on the configurator doesn't show the black side of the case so i didn't know about the logo, it takes up most of the width of the panel.

I haven't a pciture atm (at work) and the configurator doesn't show one for that case, but i found another case with the same logo on it ...

I really think you should chase up PCS. I have to say that I used the messaging system when I needed to contact them and received a brilliant service. I got 7 replies in one day just a few weeks ago, was more like an instant messaging experience. Perhaps I was just lucky but I would try that route if I were you!

I find it strange that you can get a genuine windows 7 OEM for such a low price, the cheapest I could find it for was around £65. Do you get a disc?

In the link to Amazon that Androcles posted the product was for the key only so I'd imagine no disc would be provided.

Well if you're buying from Amazon I'd be willing to bet the key was genuine and if it wasn't you'd always be able to complain to them.

It is a bargain but the 2 negative comments (with one accusation that it may not be genuine) is putting me off.
