Building a new gaming PC

If you're uncomfortable doing upgrades yourself, you can pay for PCS to do it, and it doesn't cost much either.

You'd only need to upgrade the GPU during the lifetime of the build, but you'd have the option to upgrade the processor and RAM should you wish to if your needs changed.

But a GPU upgrade is literally just plug and play, there's nothing to it. Takes 10 minutes.
Ah that doesnt sound too bad at all actually, thanks. What kind of lifespan am i looking at in the current climate with 7800 xt? I understand that it might be difficult to say, but generally speaking.

This.

We're 'just around the corner' of new GPU releases (Q1 2025)...so either buy a cheaper GPU (7600XT?) and stick with 1080p for now, and save the extra towards a new GPU when you upgrade to 1440p next year!
I would hugely agree with this too, the gains of next generation are set to be quite tasty.

Good suggestion, thanks. Unfortunately i dont think i will have the opportunity to upgrade next year due to other commitments. However im generally happy with playing at 1080p anyway, so if i can get about 3 years out of 7800xt and then upgrade then that would work for me.

That fits and should see you through for 2 or 3 years.

I do really appreciate all the feedback you guys have provided, big thank you.

I have added the MB suggested to the build https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/saved-configurations/amd-am5-pc/WaV7bfNGsq/ stretched my budget to £2089, but if it will last me quite sometime than i think its worth.

I wont place the order just yet, so if anyone has any further feedback or suggestion i am open to listen.

I see mixed messages about deals with PCS, is it worth waiting until black friday to see if any components drop in price?

Can you copy and paste the full specs as before as sometimes it doesn't show them properly off the link

That's showing a CX750w PSU which isn't what's recommended
I also wouldn't want that case personally for that configuration, that's more a budget option.

As far as I know, PCS does not offer Black Friday deals, and prices are always changing. It's up to you, however I would place the order if you are satisfied with the current price.

Just to follow up on my latest selection and based on the case comments. Would the selected case be sufficient or should i be considering something else for better airflow and longevity?

As a sidenote, i have asked and got a bit educated about AIO coolers earlier in my thread. But just to be sure, will the selected cooler do a decent job and is safe to use? (just for my piece of mind)

I stretched my budget a little and think I'm pretty much ready to purchase, on Saturday maybe. Could i please get some feedback on the case and cooling on this build? If its all good i will probably make the purchase :)
If anything should be adjust please let me know, so i can consider it.
