Thanks for your input, will consider the 3060ti GPU and the bigger cooler. Any thoughts on the AMD equivalent (assuming the RX6700XT) ? My previous card was the RX5700XT and was plagued with issues. Does the 6000 series still suffer driver issues ?

I was considering the Gigabyte Mobo only because of the extra connectivity and the price increase was minimal over the other option ... Plan to use my Occulus Rift so need lots of usb ports.

If the motherboard has use for connectivity then certainly go right ahead

This generation of graphics cards would see the RX6600 vs 3060/3060ti and it depends if you want to use the features available to the RTX3060/3060ti such as DLSS (giving more FPS) or RTX (ray tracing for better visuals) as these are 2 areas where there is no comparison.

It is pretty universal on the forums that Nvidia "won" this generation
