Brand new laptop shutdowns during gaming.

Hi I'm Peter and i have a problem with brand new Laptop i bought from PCSpecialist which has been delivered to me on 3rd September 2021. Yesterday around 21:30 when i was playing League Of Legends my new laptop just turned off itself. It was not due to overheating because temperature was around 50-60 degreeses ( i always have the meters turned on to control temperature). After it shutted down i was trying to start it up after 2 mins but the only thing that was lighting was the power button, the cooling fans, screen, keyborad etc did not react (like it was not receiving any power). Below i am posting a specification of my laptop. And no, there was not any short circuts etc.

Does it boot on battery alone?

If you can remove the battery then do so, will it then boot on power alone?

If you leave it off and on charge for 24 hours does the 'fully charged' LED come on, or does the LED always show as 'charging'?

i removed battery and laptop is running normally. thx a lot i did not even think about removing the battery

Hello everyone. I have a problem with actually a brand new laptop which i bought on September from PCspecialist. Yesterday Laptop was returned from RMA and i was told by guys from PCspecialist that laptop passed the preassure tests. However after 9 hours of constant gaming (World Of Warcraft) laptop shutted down itself once again twice ( 19:56 and 22:56 - exactly 3 hrs between shutdowns). Below i post laptop specs:



As far as i know this kind of problems occurs by one of the following (mostly common):

-Overclocking - i have never done it with any PC/laptop i ever had
-Power Supply - maybe 2x 280W AC adapter is not enough, i do not know
-Hardware/Software incompatibilities - I was told the BIOS and Windows etc was updated by guys in RMA department and everything is updated
-Overheating - I was told by one of the PCspecialist workers that temperature around 85 degreeses on CPU during gaming is absolutely normal and up to 105 degreeses there is nothing to worry about. on the GPU its most likely 50-60 and no more. (GPU has 2 fans and CPU has 1 fan).
-Incorrect Memory installation/Memory settings - i have no idea how to check that.

I was looking on the internet for possible solutions but none of them worked. Laptop is literally 48 days old, and those random shutdowns are really annoying.

Peripheral devices which were connected during shutdown:

-Asus Rog Strix fusion 700 gaming headset
-MasterColler2 cooling stand
-Corsair Scimitar PRO gaming mouse

Programs which were turned on during shutdown:

-iCUE - gaming mouse driver
-Armoury Crate ASUS ROG - headset driver
-battle.net
-Kaspersky Antivirus
-foobar2000 - music player
-Google Chrome Browser
-Discord
-Killer Command Center - to monitor the CPU/GPU temperature.

Improper shutdowns due to kernel-power are one thing and prior to be sorted. Another minor issue which i have with the laptop is the problem when i turn it on and gaming mouse is connected to the USB port during startup. Until i will not disconnect the gaming mouse from USB, laptop does not want to turn on. If you have any ideas how to sort out those issues i will be very gratefull. My knowledge about modern computers is bad so i am sorry if i have missed something what could be essential to identify this problem. I was trying with changing power supply options set to maximum etc and it did not work.
I will be gratefull for any tips to sort this thing out.

Have you reinstalled windows after the RMA?

Can you upload a screenshot of your windows update page?

No i did not reinstall windows after RMA.

Below i will attach screenshot from Windows Update ( however it is in polish language - my main language) and it says everything is updated. Last check was today at 10:06 . I also did update the graphic drivers (Nvidia GForce Experience) and after update the application does not want to run (Error 0x00003). I have updated all the drivers for all peripherals aswell. literally everything is updated.

Are there any optional updates waiting? They need to be installed, they're driver updates and won't automatically install.

Where did you get nvidia geforce experience from?

I would suggest uninstalling Kaspersky, there's no need for it, windows defender offers just as good protection, but you'll find 3rd party AV's are the source of a lot of instability.

I would also uninstall discord for testing, as it's known to cause BSODs.

I would uninstall Killer Command Center as it's notorious for BSODs.

Once all that's done we can do some troubleshooting.

In the meantime also, you may want to update your dump files for analysis:

There is no any optional updates awaiting, i have checked them aswell.

Nvidia Geforce experience was downloaded from Nvidia website. After reinstall it was working, then i did update driver, reboot the system and it stopped working again (maybe the update is a failure in that case)
dump files? - i have no idea what is that and where to find it. sorry but my knowledge about those things is quite low. sorry for inconvenience.

I am suprised that AV software, especially this one could be the reason of BSODs. Never had a problem with that one on any other PC/Laptop i had :(

I am uninstalling the softwares you have mentioned.

all the applications are removed. Kaspersky, killer control center, discord have been removed

Nevertheless, for troubleshooting we need to have a clean system without known BSOD causes, only then is it worth doing any troubleshooting. Once we have a stable platform and we're sure of that, then you can reinstall it if you want.

There are now 2 different laptop driver formats, DCH and Standard, and they aren't intercompatible, it's likely you had a DCH driver installed which wouldn't be compatible with the Standard Experience downloaded from the website.

There are now 2 different laptop driver formats, DCH and Standard, and they aren't intercompatible, it's likely you had a DCH driver installed which wouldn't be compatible with the Standard Experience downloaded from the website.

Everything is uninstalled. Including Nvidia Geforce Experience
