Black screen on fresh start up

I received my brand new pc the other day and have just done an unboxing stream to find that it is defective. When switching on the PC beeps, PC logo comes up but after that the screen is black but I can move the cursor still. Can anyone help with this please?

Have you actually taken parts out and reinserted?
You said it beeps when you start it up, those beeps have meaning... can you tell us what sequence its making?

For future knowledge your motherboard has leds on it that will also help you troubleshoot a problem :) martin strikes again top man !!!!
