BIOS update not recognised

I'm trying to update my Asus Prime A320M-K Bios, 4011 from 2018, but it tells me that PRO320MK.CAP is not a proper BIOS. Any idea where I'm going wrong? Thanks.

Is ”PRO320MK.CAP” correct, or just a typo, as the manual says it should be “PRA320MK.CAP”.

What method are you using to update it and why are you flashing such an old BIOS image?

Also, you can't downgrade a BIOS, you can only upgrade, so if that's older than the one you currently have installed, it's not going to work.

If you are trying to downgrade, why is that?

Not that I've done it but I know on my ASUS® ROG STRIX X570-F GAMING (USB 3.2 Gen 2, PCIe 4.0) - ARGB Ready! motherboard, there's a specific USB port you need to use

That's why we need to know if they're using the windows software or attempting it via the BIOS update as they're 2 very different processes with different criteria
