I am happy with this score on base clocks. http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1011917

This has convinced me that I will keep my 2 x GTX590's for a little while longer. Then swap them at Xmas to either the GTX790 (if all goes well) or two GTX780's.


Just a wee update. I have O/C'd the CPU from 3.608GHz (Idle 283.2W) to 4.371GHz (Idle 290.4W). A 21% clock increase. Here is the new results: http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1015280

I should also point out that with this test the temperatures were the same as yesterday (3.608GHz) with my radiator inlet liquid at 40°C. Over the coming days I'' O/C my GPU's and re-post the results.

Here are the results from 6% GPU overclock (8502). http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/1016596 The power draw was 3.96A max = 950W. Overall a 5.1% increase in performance.

That's not a bad score... Don't forget the i5 takes a hit doing the physics tests which would bring the average down.
If you look at the detailed scores your physics score was 7465 and mine was 11221 which is the cpu, not that much difference and I'm sure hardly noticeable in the real world !!

Your graphics score was 9230 and mine was 9768 not enough difference for running 2 way 780's !!!

True enough. I'd seen a score from a 770 that was higher than mine but I suppose that was running an i7. I wish I'd ordered a 4770k now, not that I'm complaining about the 4670k!

I just downloaded 3dmark I don't want to pay £18 for the advanced edition - Do I need to buy it to run the fire strike test? I want to see were my rig places on the Leaderboards but it wont let me launch the firestrike test?

All these scores are from running the free edition, which has fixed settings for the three different tests. (For the free demo edition I think I recall you have to run them all to get the firestrike score, but it will give you seperate scores at the end so only post the one for firestrike here.) :)
