Yeah, under load its at 4.3 and when i go into bios all the relevant settings are there. I did use the Autotuner function on the Mobo though.

Im not too clued up about overclocking, but the autotuner thingy may have reset/changed your overclock, I'd call up pcs and ask them to talk ya through how to check it in the bios.

edit - saying that 4.3 does sound about right for your cpu.

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4378574 Just reran with a slight tweak on my 660, slightly better, but as you can see it now won't even read the cpu freq. or the Ram at all... I think the overclock is set up correct to be honest tom, when i prime'd for a while and check cpu-z indicates 4.3. Not a biggy, just wana see if i can creep into P9000 mark.

You could try a different version of 3dmark11, what tweak did you do on your 660? You could also try nvidiainspector (profile setting/3dmark11)

What version of 3dmark though? wouldn't that make result different and therefore not balanced? I've upped the core clock to 1106 (+100) and the memory is up 300mhz. still testing whether i can go further or not.

I would advice not to change the core clock and memory since you could void your warranty if there are any issues with your gpu. I think I had some issues with 3Dmark11 and I had to repair/reinstall the application.

I hear you, though i've checked the Palit warranty and i recon it'll be fine. Done 2 days worth of testing now on bf3/3dmark on this setting, alls well.

Finally got 3dmark11 to identify everything!
http://www.3dmark.com/3dm11/4390080 - Though why is the memory at 667MHz? can anyone explain? Thanks

Tiberias, Thats a beasty score! Noticed that your Ram is running at 667 like mine was, until i enabled X.M.P profile - On the P8Z77 Asus board it's in the AI Tweaker through the bios, where the cpu clock multiplers etc are. Should get those dimms running at 800 each and might help your score further!

I'm not sure exactly how, Buzz could tell you. I think it's something called Lucid Virtue which you need to download and also enable it in the BIOS somewhere.

Correct. You need to enable It in BIOS and LucidVirtue. You then need to install the Igpu drivers and lucid software.

for your motherboards it is

Enter Bios - top right enter Advanced - Click Advanced Tab - Click System Agent configuration - graphics configuration

Primary GPU = PCIe
Igpu memory = I usually put 512M
Render standby = Enabled

IGpu multi monitor = enabled

Press F10 to save and restart

then Download and install and restart after each one.

Intel(R) Graphics Accelerator Driver V8.15.10.2712 for Windows 7 32bit & 64bit.(WHQL)
http://dlcdnet.asus.com/pub/ASUS/misc/vga/Intel_Graphics_V815102712_Win7.zip

And
Lucid Virtue 64bit
http://www.lucidlogix.com/download/Lucidlogix%20VIRTU%20Setup_64Bit_1.2.114.21767.exe

Thats you done. You should now have your intel and dedicated gpu show up in device manager, and Lucid Virtue running.

Thanks Buzz! I shall get on that a bit later on today! Are there any noticable benefits in gaming with this done? I have not really got a clue when it comes to igpu stuff, i'm guessing you can set the igpu to carry out part of the graphics load? physx? or what? I am too lazy to have google as a friend at the minute and it seems buzz has an excellent resource! So if you do get the chance to explain in detail it would be much appreciated!

I have been trying for a fairly long while now... i can't execute 3dmark with virtualisation/hyperformance/virtualvsync enabled. bf doesn't work either so i'm thinking i may just leave it for a while, i get decent enough performance without it so will wait for better support :) Thanks and +rep for all the info!

Really sorry I didnt get back to you sooner on this.

The basic concept behind Virtu is between how many frames per second the discrete GPU can calculate, against what is shown on the screen to the user. They are trying to improve the experience by removing redundant rendering tasks, making the GPU synchronize with the refresh rate of the connected display and reduce input lag. By introducing a level of middleware that intercepts rendering calls, Virtual V-Sync and HyperFormance are both tools that decide whether a frame should be rendered and then delivered to the display. However the FPS counter within a title counts frame calls, not completed frames. So as the software intercepts a call, the frame rate counter is increased, whether the frame is rendered or not. This could lead to many unrendered frames, and an artificially high FPS number, when in reality the software is merely optimizing the sequence of rendering tasks rather than increasing FPS.

I hope that makes sense. I have done a good few benchmarks with it on and off and I do get a greater 3DMark 11 score with it on. However I have also noticed the Lucid Control panel is a little contrary. If it doesnt like a game or program it crashes. Personally I have only been testing it and its not something Im hugely interested in as of yet as its still very early days, but I do think its a very interesting concept and can only guess it will become bigger and more popular.

Do both the dedicated and onboard cards show up in control panel?
Did you install the Virtue control panel.

Buzz, no worries, and yes the system recognises both, and i got the virtu mvp install fine after doing the intel graphics drivers. all reinstalled etc. to be honest i feel like i'll just wait like you until its possibly got more following/testing and updates. interesting concept though.
