backlight on laptop

Good afternoon all,

This is such a daft query really, but last year we bought a laptop (which we are very pleased with!) and it came with "Multicolour backlit UK Keyboard"

We've never bothered trying to change the colours, but I thought I'd give it a go..but I just don't understand how to! I've searched the forums and it seems I might need to download a driver, but I can't work out where from!

Can anyone kindly point me in the right direction to get me started please? It's a 15.6" laptop

Is this a PCSpecialist laptop? Can you post your full specs from the order page?

In the up arrow in the bottom right near the clock (running programs) you should have one for control center also known as Hotkey, you can adjust the keyboard there.

Thank you for your reply. I've clicked on the up key but it's only showing me bluetooth, antivirus, nvida & windows security.

On the underside of the laptop there should be a model number on a sticker that might be labelled notebook computer, can you post the model number?

Hi again. Thank you for your help. I've gone to the Clevo website and found the downloads section, but our model number isn't listed - there are lots similar, just not quite the same. Does it need to be the exact one?

X’s are in place of any number or letter.

_ means this or something else so 5xNH_RH_ZH etc

Good evening, sorry for the delay, things have been busy! I've downloaded the files called Control Center, and unzipped it. I've got a whole series of files but not sure what to do with them!!

I have two Clevo P150EM laptops (2013). One PCSpecialist (Vortex III). Both running Windows 10 Professional 64-bit, and both have backlit keyboards.

The PCSpecialist required chipset version 'Chipset_W8.zip' (v9.3.0.1026) to be installed before Hotkey version 'Hotkey_W8.zip (v8.0101).

Installing chipset drivers before Hotkey seemed to be the solution for me. Hope this may help.
