I am a sound design student, and need to buy a PC capable of processing and running audio software like Reaper and also software such as Premier Pro. What do you think?

to be blunt - it wouldn't run anything well, your choices are poor. you could tell us your budget and maybe we can figure something out, sound design AND video software requires a decent budget as it needs a good CPU, lots of fast RAM, a decent GPU and fast storage options, which usually equals to a non-budget price

Fair enough I appreciate the input. My budget is from £550- £750 to be honest. Obviously I'll be looking to upgrade over time.

Maybe you could see what you can do with that budget??

You won’t be able to get anything remotely worthwhile at that budget. You’re asking an awful lot for 2 very enhanced uses. You’ll be looking nearer 1200 for something remotely worth it.

We could build you a basic spec for music that could then be upgraded to include premiere pro, but even then not at that budget, nearer 900
