What resolution is the monitor. If you give us the exact model that would help.
What is the intent of the PC?
I'm guessing gaming? :)

It is for a general purpose computer and also gaming but not heavy gaming. Just for amusement.
Re the monitor. I will probably get a half decent on in the future but I would hope to use the one I have at the minute. It is a Viewsonic VA2445-LED

I am on an oldish computer with win 7 so I need Win 10
You can just update your current computer for free and then transfer the license to the new computer.

That will save you over £100 which at this budget it essential to get a balanced build.

The BSOD Doctor
yes it’s still free as in the link above.
It's worth noting that Microsoft's official position is that the free upgrade ended on July 29 2016, however it is still technically possible to upgrade from Windows 7 to Windows 10 for free as show in the link from SpyderTracks. My guess (and it's no more than a guess) is that Microsoft are allowing it to get as many people off Windows 7 and onto Windows 10 as possible. I do wonder whether they will continue to allow this once Windows 7 becomes unsupported next week (Tue 14th) so if you're thinking of upgrading I would do it now.

I agree, I fully expect them to close the upgrades as soon as Win 7 goes out of support on the 14th.
