ANOTHER problem - VERY annoying

I rang them up twice about a problem, they sent out a new GFX card, now I am having the same problem, I get blue-screens while playing games, PC restarts, then I browse the net and the browsers crash constantly, then I get more blue-screens, I am wondering if it is too late to get a refund, after all I spent ALL my wages on a computer for gaming and I can't even do that, the money would be better spent on socializing etc, this was a big waste, I don't want to be spending my free time trying to fix a computer!

This is the problem details when programs start to crash CONSTANTLY!

This looks like a problem with VLC media player,
you may have other problems, but uninstall VLC media player if you have it installed & see how it goes.
Some malware camouflage themselves as vlc.exe though so run malwarebytes &/or antivirus scan.

looks more like issues with software rather than hardware so i wouldnt think you would get a refund if that is the case.

Maybe try reinstalling windows, dont download or look at any websites untilll you have a antivirus and malware protection fitted id recommend avira and dont download anything else except driver updates and windows updates and whatever you do dont use any games unless there on official disks or on steam if your still getting bluescreens then it has to be hardware, but atleast this way you can be sure.

1. If you have a problem why not start your own thread instead of hi-jacking this 1.

2. If you don't give people the info they ask you for they can't help you.

3. If your game is running at 100FPS then the only lag you are getting is the internet/server your on and nothing to do with the GPU.

winds me up the fact alot of people get blue screens and automatically think something is wrong with the pc and the supplier (PCS) are to fault. The majority of blue screens are software related and are down to people messing around either playing with settings when they dont know what they are doing or messing drivers and updates. There is no need to come onto the forums and start bad mouthing PCS or their Products if you act civilised and descride the problem and what you may have done to ba**s it up then you will get a solution. If you just come on here saying its crap and you give up on the 500-3000 pound product you have purchased you tend to seem imature and unworthy of the kind people who post on here`s time. So please may we return to the original thread and hopefully solve this person`s problem calmy and without the childish critasism.

Omnirat as i suggested i recommend you do one last reinstall of windows without any external hhd`s or backup drives attached just a clean boot drive once it has completed install the updates then use a reputable security suite (as i suggested avira is nice and simple just click free version on www.avira.com) install and update security suite then try some games from original cd or steam no dodgy sotware. If then you still get bluescreens and resets the hardware must be at fault and you may well indeed be able to get a refund if you are not happy with a RMA and your pc back. P.S. just thought before you give up you could also try updating your motherboard drivers.

you have already highlighted the problem yourself. the source of the crash you posted was vlc media palyer. While im not saying this is the root cause of all problems, before you start ranting on here, try using the forums to get a bit of help. Tell us what you spec is, what you have tried already, etc.

I wold sugget, given that the last crash was almost entirely down to a software problem, that you at least conduct a re-install of the os and drivers.

It's not a problem with VLC, that 'APPCRASH' error I get all the time, for example I am using Google Chrome, it will crash constantly and I will get that error and the same with games, or a blue-screen, I have re-installed windows before and the same thing happens, my drivers are all up to date, I haven't changed anything manually and the CPU isn't overheating or being stressed, and I have a reputable security suite.

I am entitled to rant a little when I've paid out ALL of my money on what I hoped to be a good PC.

I did find this on my PC that I got told I shouldn't be able to see...

tpo answer a couple of questions. To the OP, the system reserved drive sometimes shows up in windows 7, its nothing to worry about, mine tends to show up when I plug an external drive in. Technically it shouldnt show up, but as far as Ive read its not a problem if it does.

To M3aaaq, dont have a go at someone like this, it makes you just as bad as the original ranter. Just because you know that minecraft isnt GPU intense doesnt mean others do.

The reason minecraft is lagging is almost certainly due to internet connection. Minecraft is written in Java which really isnt very good for large scale games, and although it should be perfectly fine, it is a beta, there are bugs in the game and it isnt fully optimised yet, this can cause slow down from time to time. Its probably not (although I cant say for certain) a graphics card problem, especially as it seems you suggest its running at 100fps.

Omnirat,System reserved shouldn't be showing there, nor should it have a drive letter,
but it's unlikely to be causing the problem you're having.
System reserved is for use with bitlocker & boot recovery options.
It can be hidden through disk management, but ther's an outside chance that would make your computer unbootable,
so I dont recommend it.
Like Maestro suggested,I think the problem is software related & would try another reinstall, follow the instructions in the welcome booklet on how to do a clean install, making sure you delete the drive, this should solve any software problems & install the system reserved partition as it should be.
There are other things you could try first,
Try running the performance trouble shooter to see if programs are running in the background, one of which might be causing the problem.Open the Performance troubleshooter by clicking the Start button/Control Panel/all control panel items/troubleshooter, and then click Troubleshooting. Under System and Security, click Check for performance issues.
2 Uninstal VLC player.
3 run malwarebytes,
4 run the registry option in ccleaner, making a system restore point first.

Oh look, same error, different program!

244nuyw.png

It happens with EVERY program.

Though it was a good 6 minutes of gaming I must admit, I guess it must be a new feature with 'top end' gaming computers so that the user doesn't spend too long on it.

frenchy & xcal.. sorry for my post

anyways.. are you using a texture pack? if so it could decrease the fps because minecraft uses more ram and it only uses up to 1gb at default so 16gb ram doesn't really matter
