Amended order - timescales?

Hi all, recently purchased a PC from PCS, and whilst in building and testing stage i was debating whether the CPU was the correct one, or to swap to a more powerful CPU. After doing a lot of research i decided to amend the order on the 6th working day of my order to a 9800X3D.

The very same day the PC build was then moved to “quality control” with the old setup, but since then, they have not changed the order back to “preproduction” or “in building” and the PC remains in quality control.

Do we know if anyone else has amended an order, and rough timescales before it goes back into preproduction for the CPU amendments as it’s now been 4 extra working days and still remains in quality control? Normally this takes 1-2 days accordingly to PCS timescales ?

I have chased PCS by email but their response is default, with “I’ll chase the processing team for a update with the position of your order” But nothing has been received, and continue to check the order but no movement or notes added.

Can anyone give advice or if anyone has experienced this before how long it took PCS to amend the notes and order?

Assuming the 3 year warranty would start once the PC is delivered to me, and note the date of purchase?

Thanks

Steve

Morning!

I don't think that the stage changes if you swap out a component during build (could be wrong I've never done it myself), I'd imagine the only way that would happen is if you changed your entire build.

However if you change a component there will be some delay depending on precisely where in the build process you were when the change was actioned. The last PC I ordered I made the changes before I went into the build phase so they were actioned pretty quickly.

Your warranty doesn't start until delivery (it might be dispatch actually I can't recall for sure) certainly isn't date of purchase.
