AMD Ryzen 7 4800H apu limited to 512mb VRAM, can't change in the bios

Is it unreasonable to expect I will forever be limited to the 512mb vram?

Is there anything I can do to make the most of the apu as it's capable of 2gb. Seems odd that 2gb wouldn't be configured as I purchased an extra 8gb ram as well.
