AMD Ryzen 2700x rig for 1080p gaming

Hey guys,

Would really appreciate some feedback on this planned specification. My goals are:

• * 60 FPS gaming at 1080p on ~max. settings for 2019 titles and on high settings until 2024
• * Quiet performance
• * Good value
• * Potential to upgrade

P.S. particularly interested to hear thoughts on the motherboard - I have heard that only select models will work with the Ryzen 3xxx CPUs slated for release in July. Not sure whether to just wait on those!

If it's just for gaming I don't think the 2700x will be any better than the 2600x. With the savings on this you could up the mobo which would give you more room for future upgrades. If on a budget, you could also go for a smaller SSD plus a larger HDD for media storage. This can easily be upgraded later on if not sufficient. The wifi card you chose is very basic, you could drop this entirely if not needed and save some cash or go for a better one. The fractal define S is viewed as a good silent case but it is a bit more expensive. Stock cooler should be ok unless you plan on overclocking which will probably be too much even for the coolermaster in the initial build. Perhaps something like this? I am looking at something similar myself to replace my Defiance II with GTX 970m. I'd quite like to take on a project and build it myself but at the same time I am very happy with my previous purchase from PC Specialist and will probably go down this route again.
