Amd gaming pc spec check

Hi There,

I am making the move back to a pc gaming system after years of using a certain a****e product.

I have made the configuration using an amd chip and could you just check it for me.

I will be playing fps games mainly and doing some editing from gorpo every now and then so do i need the ryzen 9 chip or could i go lower?

I will be buying a 1440p 144hz monitor to use with the system.

Would pcspecialist change the fans during the build to corsair ql 120's ?

I am looking to build a system with some future proofing in.

My budget is about £2000 so if i don't need a monster cpu i can use the extra cash to go towards the monitor.

Grinty,

Thanks for that, the system looks great. The only question i have is it is using a 470 motherboard, will this be alright for the next couple of years or will a 570 be needed at some point?

Thanks

I'm seeing it with the same ASUS® TUF X570-PLUS motherboard that's in your build. Could be something weird going on with the configurator?

I ordered one of these yesterday and did notice it sometimes didn't always display the right pricing when I was switching monitors in and out (seemed to be losing the review discount). You could try clicking the "reset to our pre-defined default specification" link near the top of the configuration page to see if that fixes it.

Wouldn't you believe it just gone to order it and the case is out of stock until July, Is it worth waiting for it to come back in stock or spec up a lower cpu system?

Ouch! That's a tough question to answer. It basically comes down to whether you value the ~£300 discount more than spending a month longer with whatever setup you have at the moment and the ability to customise it exactly how you want.

If you aren't worried about the money and are either in a rush or not happy with some of the parts in the build then it's worth configuring your own. On the other hand if you can live with your current setup for another month and don't think the build is missing anything critical then I'd say it's worth waiting.

You could also try giving PCS a call and seeing if they'll let you get that build in a different case but keep the discount - worst case you're back to deciding between a month's wait and £300 again.

I have spoken to someone at the office and they say that they can't change any items as it comes as a whole package, which is a shame as i would have paid the difference for another case.

The build was fine and seemed a good system, it looks like i will wait and hope that the cases come back in on the July date and they don't change the deal.

Thanks

That’s a shame. If you are ok to hold on I do think it’s worth it as it’s just such a good deal. Let us know if things change and you decide you need something quicker and we can spec something else.
