AMD 1440p Gaming Computer

Hi guys,

I am about ready to bite the bullet and order a new desktop and just want some more experienced eyes to give the build a once over, make sure I am not making any (more) glaring mistakes.
For reference, PC will be for gaming, at 1440p resolution (already have a monitor: AOC AGON Q27G2E/BK 27" QHD VA 155Hz). I have been unhappy with Intel and Nvidia recently, so decided to switch to AMD for both.
Goals are for games to be at least 60fps and stable, and, if at all possible, for it to be fairly quiet. Or at least quieter than an aircraft taking off, unlike my laptop. For reference, some of the games I currently play are Hunt: Showdown (a bit old now and should be easily run, but due an engine upgrade soon-ish that I want to be ready for), Stellaris, Dying Light 2, Total War Warhammer 3, Bannerlord. So none which are brand new and super demanding, but demanding enough that I can no longer get consistent 60fps on my laptop.
I know that apparently you can get Starfield with an AMD CPU, and while its not a game I'd pay to buy, it'd be a real shame if I couldn't run it if I got it for free.

In terms of budget, I am close to it at the moment with below, but I do have some wiggle room. I'd be willing to upgrade to the RX 6950XT, but I'm worried I'll be overshooting and wasting my money for the goals I want.

So, what do you guys think? About right, or overshooting? Also, any opinions on the CPU cooler, as I am very inexperienced with liquid coolers/AIO's.
I did post this before about a month ago, but life got in the way of my purchase, so had to delay, but now some components I had chosen are no longer available.
EDIT: Someone else posted a very similar build to what I wanted, so I edited some components based on responses to that thread.

Do you have a link to the thread that you took this spec from? It's not well balanced at all so I'm surprised it's been recommended.

Case, motherboard, RAM and cooling solution are not even close to ideal.

I would save money on the motherboard, select more suitable RAM and put it towards a more fitting cooling solution. I would see if the 7800X3D could be had within budget as well, even sacrificing the 6950XT for the 6800 level GPU.

One you have already since responded to it.
I will note that the Case, Motherboard and cooling are ones I did not change based on that, and the RAM I didn't think there was an issue with 32gb and 5200MHz?

I must admit, I don't have the foggiest on what I am looking at in terms of cases, coolers or Motherboards. Could you give some advice or alternatives I can look at?
I have made some alterations based on what you have said here and in a previous post of mine, could you take a look and give any suggestions?

MOST VALUED CONTRIBUTOR
Just to save you a few pennies mate, you're over shooting on the motherboard and no need for extra thermal paste with the Corsair coolers they come with their own pre-applied paste. Silvery warranty is a bargain for a fiver too

The 4000D case is a great choice, good build quality and brilliant for airflow plus it's not too big so it looks quite neat

Now if you wanted to spend the rest of that budget the 6950XT would be a good shout, it's a very attractive price at the minute

Sorry, slight confusion. I thought you meant that build had been suggested rather than just requested for advice. You can see that the build wasn't recommended as the poster had asked. With the RAM you want the fastest RAM you can get, 5200Mhz is one of the lower offerings and not recommended for the very small savings involved.

Changes from @Steveyg are in line with what I would choose too. £2k is right in the ballpark of top end 1440p so it's a stonking build. The 6950XT will exceed what you're looking for but it's an absolute bargain compared to other options right now so it's a great fit if the cash is there, the 6800XT does cover your needs nicely though.
