Hi guys,
I am about ready to bite the bullet and order a new desktop and just want some more experienced eyes to give the build a once over, make sure I am not making any (more) glaring mistakes.
For reference, PC will be for gaming, at 1440p resolution (already have a monitor: AOC AGON Q27G2E/BK 27" QHD VA 155Hz). I have been unhappy with Intel and Nvidia recently, so decided to switch to AMD for both.
Goals are for games to be at least 60fps and stable, and, if at all possible, for it to be fairly quiet. Or at least quieter than an aircraft taking off, unlike my laptop. For reference, some of the games I currently play are Hunt: Showdown (a bit old now and should be easily run, but due an engine upgrade soon-ish that I want to be ready for), Stellaris, Dying Light 2, Total War Warhammer 3, Bannerlord. So none which are brand new and super demanding, but demanding enough that I can no longer get consistent 60fps on my laptop.
I know that apparently you can get Starfield with an AMD CPU, and while its not a game I'd pay to buy, it'd be a real shame if I couldn't run it if I got it for free.
In terms of budget, I am close to it at the moment with below, but I do have some wiggle room. I'd be willing to upgrade to the RX 6950XT, but I'm worried I'll be overshooting and wasting my money for the goals I want.
So, what do you guys think? About right, or overshooting? Also, any opinions on the CPU cooler, as I am very inexperienced with liquid coolers/AIO's.
I did post this before about a month ago, but life got in the way of my purchase, so had to delay, but now some components I had chosen are no longer available.
EDIT: Someone else posted a very similar build to what I wanted, so I edited some components based on responses to that thread.
