The RTX 2070 super is a placeholder for what I plan to be an RTX 3080!

As of right now I know I will be bottlenecking myself with my current monitor which I will upgrade early next year.

I am hoping to have this build before a game release in late October which is why I have chosen the 3080 (The release of the 3070 will likely be too late.)
With the 3080 the build totals just over £1,800, am I wasting money anywhere other than the monstrous GPU?

Ultimately I want to keep the price from going much further over £1,800.
Being totally honest I am battling with my impatience regarding waiting for more news on the 3070 release date, it's unlikely I will have a monitor that could do the 3080 justice anytime soon but in my mind I had this build ready by late October which probably won't happen without the 3080.

I've read on other forum posts about the 3080 being way too much for people's monitors.
I suppose waiting for the 3070 and making the adjustments you recommend is the sensible thing to do eh..

Yeah you're right, I can place an order soon, amend the GPU on release day and cross my fingers for a swift journey. I can save myself a bit of $$$ to put towards a solid monitor for it too.

Thank you, I really appreciate the advice.
