Any advice on the following build? Basically, I've got a good budget and want a PC (mostly for gaming) that I won't need to upgrade or replace for a good few years.

Once you've read the the post linked by @Ekans2011 and answered the questions it raises then post the FULL spec complete with configuration link, doing this makes it a lot easier for folk to suggest changes for you, and there are several required

(1) Budget is around £3000.
(2) Predominantly for gaming - possibly video editing.
(3) Will be upgrading to a 4k monitor in the future but don't know which one.

What’s your budget for the monitor upgrade as for something worthwhile for 4k you’re looking at over £600 for entry level up to several thousand?

Would the monitor upgrade be within the next year?

Saw this after I posted the above spec, with a decent monitor budget you could probably get a nice ultra wide rather than 4k

Why more than one storage drive?

I've been meaning to put something like this together for a while. In recent weeks I've found myself writing this more and more so thought I would just post my thoughts in a thread that I could link to. So the reason for this thread is to try and give insight as to the reasoning behind having...

For the RAM, with gaming being the primary use you want 2x sticks rather than 4x. You'll get a far less throughput with 4, unless you go into RAM clocking. 32GB is more than enough, you would only want more if the Video editing was high end and more seriously considered.
