Advice on a gaming mouse and controller

I want advice on what gaming mouse and controller do people recommend for PC gaming? I play RPG mostly but want to perhaps get Forza or something similar too in the future and I don’t have space for a wheel and peddle set. I’ve got a budget of about £70 for each.

thanks all for your help.

In all honesty I use mouse and keyboard and any mouse that you feel comfortable resting your hand over is good. Possibly look at five buttons usual three plus two thumb ones but you need to be comfortable with using mouse and they come in all sizes. If you can go try a few in a Currys PCWorld.

Controller - I use an Xbox one for racing games - compatible with PC.

I use a joystick - an old Microsoft sidewinder pro - for flight type games.

I tend to use Razer products, mice are really comfortable and have a good allocation of buttons that can be configured.

getting an XXL mouse mat is also a good move.

I personally use Steeleseries RIVAL 600 mouse £65 at Amazon and Steeleseries STRATUS DUO controller £65 Steeleseries UK.

I can vouch for @Gavras Razer products. They do amazing mouse and other peripherals. I also have a razer black mamba mouse, it's really good and sturdy, probably marginally better quality build then rival 600, but can't go wrong with either.

If you can, best try at pc world so you can get a gist of your own personal perferences like size and shape of the mouse.

I bought myself a controller, took one look at the instructions on how to set it up and use it and carried on playing using my standard keyboard and mouse.......................

For me I've always been a K&M player, hate controllers as they give me RSI (and I once got gout in my wrists because of it) and I can't stand the "auto aim" side of things with them. So never again, the F710 controller hasn't seen light since that day. As for a mouse - I like the Razer ones, and use a Razer Naga with 7 side buttons (where the thumb is) --- it's great for games like diablo / PoE / Titan Quest etc. as the buttons are all at your thumb. Going a little further I have a X52 PRO Joystick for games like Elite Dangerous. And a wheel -- we'll I'm still in the market for one for games like ETS2 and Farming sim 19, so still use my M&K for those.

Logitech G602; been using this for sometime now and dropped it numerous times from a range of heights (from desk and standing height) and it so works as well asnit did out of the box.

Never get connection issues via the Bluetooth USB adapter. Fully customisable buttons that can be linked to games.

I've relatively large hands and this is easy to rest my palm on or use in a claw fashion (less so) and still gain access to the buttons or movement. Never have any wrist issues and gone are the days where I've required a mouse related wrist support to remove aches and pains from excessive and ongoing use.

Takes AA batteries, though I use rechargeable and the battery life lasts what seems like weeks upon weeks. I probably change the mouse batteries once a month. It can also run off one single AA battery, which is super cool and handy.

Very smooth movement and responsive to whatever you require as it is again fully customisable.

If I was tempted to buy another them maybe a Logirech G502? Though not sure if that's better or worse.

Tried Razer mice and just didn't like the feel, too light for my liking. I really like a mouse to planted on the mat and not be tempted to lift.

People were mentioning fly sticks, I have the X52 Saitek, which for games like Elite is a must. Not much to say other than it is working still after owning it for approx 3-4 years now. Also comfy to use and relatively easy to configure, though some tweaking is required to set it up the way you prefer.
