And also just noticed that the 1200 RMx Power Supply has changed to the 1200 HXi. Does that make any difference to the build?
The HXi is a higher tier, more expensive, and standard socket orientation (only one below the high-end AXi range).

The 1200RMx Shift had a 'shifted' socket orientation (they come out of the side, rather than the back)...but they're very low stock, so could mean a refresh is at hand.

Overview of Corsair PSU range...

If it's not significantly more expensive then I'd go for it...especially if you're interested in looking at power usage via the built-in sensors (via iCUE).

BTW, I've got the HX1500i due to the HX1200i PSU I wanted being out of stock in early 2024. Don't know what the difference between the v1/v2 are though (and I've probably got a v2 as I've got a different iCUE LINK connector on the back than the v1 pictures show).

I also think the picture may be wrong, as I believe the v1 was the blue & white writing and v2 is the white writing with the single iCUE LINK socket....

HXi V2 looks to be ATX3.1 from a quick search so should be fine and dandy. It's a proper premium PSU so costs a bit more but as long as you're happy with that you'll not have a problem. It's the platinum range, so as good as it gets.

I wouldn't bother with the fans personally but if you want the look then you can't go wrong. Just be sure to get the LINK set.

The HXi's are amazing PSU's, I had a 750W one that was used in 2 or 3 rigs over 15 years or so, amazing piece of kit, even running it flat out at the end.

So the cost of the 5080 was a bit more expensive than I was expecting so had to drop some of the specs back down. I didn't want to wait for a reply and risk them being sold out. I can edit anything that looks wrong.

Yeah, I thought it would either look empty cos the case was big or they would of had to put the gpu in sideways cos they seem to be monsters. But all the parts look comfy in there.

Does anyone know if the back panel will fit on with the side mounted fans? Mainly for when it needs to go on a road trip.

I was thinking the same thing but the description on pcs and I've read on other places that it needs to be removed with the side fans fitted. I'd prefer to leave it on mind.

Not sure where you're seeing that, case side is normal on any case. That's why the vents are there is specifically for the side fans

Oh, I think you're getting confused, on the PCS description it states "motherboard cable cover needs to be removed" as an Asterix against the side fans, that's not the side panel, that's the cover that's over the side fan panel by default as in the section B of "removing the cable bar" in this manual on page 6, it's a cable management cover that would be on by default if you weren't using the side fan mounts.

But no, the side cover should always be fitted.

Looking at it again I think i must of misread/misunderstood what it says. I'm guessing it means the panel in between the case side and the main compartment?

I'm glad of that cos I'd rather it stay fitted.

Are you misreading the fact that the optional CABLE COVER needs to be removed to allow the side fans to b3 fitted.

It’s the airguide / cover that goes between the inside space and the side cover.

If you put fans on the side then they’d be blocked by the airguide/cable cover, so it’s removed.

This bit…
