Adequate Power?

I could use a quick check on my build here. I’ve already ordered it, but I’m having doubts now about some parts, namely the power, based on what I’ve seen for other specs here. Mainly for gaming and video editing. I use two monitors with my old setup, both 1080p, and I think only 60 refresh rate? I did have a 550w power on the order, but the page said I’d only need 450w at most. My old (dead) PC has a 750w power supply, which I’ve only just checked, so I’m not sure if 450 is actually enough. Thanks.

I would personally recommend a amd build as there much better then intel currently!!! but to answer your question 850w rmx is considerd the standard for having headroom for future gpu and cpu upgrades also the more headroom your psu has the quieter and more efficient it will run also a dedicated soundcard for just gaming isnt really needed as onboard sound is pritty good

Yeah, I just learnt that AMD processors were better. Ive just emailed to cancel that order so I can look into things properly instead of putting something together in 10 minutes. Bit of a panic build on my part after my current PC suddenly started dying.

If you let us know what monitors they are and what your budget is, I'm sure we can sort you a build

Ok I've put together a spec that's got a real good base for upgrades in the future, I've put in a 2060 GPU which covers all 1080p very nicely, you say your present pc is dead, if you're not going to be using it again once you get the new one, you could transfer windows across saving about £100

Regarding my monitors, if my old nvidia gtx 970 graphics card handled them just fine, this setup should be good. I made a few alterations to your recommendation a demo build, but I wanted to ask first about the two SSDs and their theoretical usage in the build. I assume having my OS installed on one of them is the main idea, and probably my games too. I usually only have 1-4 games installed at a time, and I think my largest game was around 60-70GB.
The other, larger SSD would be for my video recording/editing/rendering files? I know I've pretty much answered my own question here, but I just want to confirm these are the case. I think I need to re-modify my demo-build if so.
Budget wise, around £1,700. My first build above was around £1,750, so even a few other modifications to yours works out about the same, possibly less if I'm assuming correctly bout the SSDs.

ok, the M.2's :

The smaller and faster one is for your OS and programs
The larger one is for your games, so if you need to do a clean install of your OS you don't have to reinstall all your games

Your other files such as video etc will go on the HDD

Okay, I see. Thank you. I've only ever worked with a single hard drive before, so this is a different concept to consider. So my 'final' build looks like this, just a couple of options altered:

I would definitely opt for a different case and the 3060 over the 2060 (It's cheaper and more powerful).

The strange choice with the case is in regards to it being very expensive and not very good for airflow. Below is where I would land.

Case
CORSAIR 4000D AIRFLOW TEMPERED GLASS GAMING CASE

AMD Ryzen 5 5600X Six Core CPU (3.7GHz-4.6GHz/35MB CACHE/AM4)

Okay, so I hadn't thought of airflow when I picked the case, thanks for pointing that out, and your additional recommendation. Would the Lian Li Lancool II Gaming Case work instead though?
