A lot of money not so much sense. Advise Welcome!

Hi, i'm looking to get a new PC mainly for gaming i have a pretty big budget. These are the specs I've picked but I'm really torn on the GPU side of things, Not sure whether to get a GTX Titan, or the two 680's. I've heard you can get more out of the two 680's for a cheaper price than buying 1 gtx titan which costs more and will have less performance. Advise is kinda needed and more than welcome!

I have 1 screen at the moment but i am going to be buying a 2nd monitor sometime soon.

If you are planning to use 1 or 2 monitors I would suggest the gtx 680 2gb in SLI and to upgrade the warranty. Overclocking is not really needed for gaming and 8 gb memory is plenty.

Upgrade you warranty to silver for 5£ and I don't know if you've seen the corsair graphite gaming case, it's awesome with great reviews, maybe worth looking into with your sizeable budget. :)

Didn't see Keynes post

If you are gaming in 1 monitor, the gtx 680 2gb should outperform the 4gb version.

As far as I know PCS uses the palit jetstream 4gb , a single gtx 680 2gb will outperform the gtx 680 4gb in 1 monitor.

Ok thanks good to know so is the 2GB a different brand? Also how come the 2gb will outperform the 4GB on 1 monitor?

Most gtx 680s (from previous threads) are palit, the 4gb version does not come pre-overclocked as the 2gb version. At higher resolutions the 4gb version should beat the 2gb version.

ok so at 1920×1080 on a single monitor the 2Gb is better?

If using one monitor at 1920×1080 even 1GB of V-RAM would be plenty,
The amount of Video RAM on a graphics card does not directly reflect speed or performance. There are plenty of low-end slow cards with 1GB or 2GB of on board RAM, and they are no faster than 512MB versions of the same card.In general, more video RAM allows cards to display at higher resolutions without suffering a performance slowdown.
So if planning on using really high resolutions or multiple monitors the more video ram the better.
