I have been looking at some of the options for PCS gaming laptops and they all look like really good value but I was slightly confused by the 15.6" Proteus VII/VIII, the first confusion being just that, is it the Proteus VII or VIII? The website says it is the Proteus VII but the URL (https://www.pcspecialist.co.uk/notebooks/proteusVIII-15/) shows VIII. Seeing as reviews of the Proteus VII include it having an i7-9750H and the one on the website us listed as having the newer 10th gen CPU, I assume this is a mistake and it is meant to say VIII, but this does seem a little odd and I just wanted to confirm. Even if the name is somewhat meaningless, it does look a little unprofessional and strange.
Secondly, looking at detailed specs, it states the dimensions are 361 x 246 x 19.9mm (24.4mm for RTX 2070 version), does that mean you get a different chassis when spec-ed with the RTX 2070? On that note, does anyone know what model(s) of laptop this is (I assume Clevo but not sure which one)? If there are two different chassis then which one are the pictures of?
Finally (and I feel this is unlikely to be answered based on the lack of info on this laptop I have found on this forum) but does anyone know how good the thermal performance is of the thinner 19.9mm RTX 2060 chassis (supposing that is what that means)? Specifically for the 8 core intel CPU, that seems like a very thin laptop for the huge amount of heat they supposedly produce, which is somewhat worrying.
